Confrmo: a live person, bound to the account
The Confrmo app now checks that a real, live person is in front of the camera and ties their face to the signed-in account.
What it needed
A photo or a video of someone should never pass as that person. A face check is useless if it is not tied to the right account.
What I built
I built an active liveness check into the iPhone app and bound the verified face to the user who is signed in.
The principle
Proving a face is real and proving it belongs to this account are two different checks. You need both.
