Holding a sign-in request safely behind the face check

How Confrmo holds a Verify with Confrmo request from another app until the face check is passed.

What I tried

When another app asks Confrmo to verify someone, the approval screen deliberately waits until the face check is passed. The first version held it back by hiding it.

Why I chose differently

On the way out, SwiftUI clears what a hidden screen was holding. The request needed a safer home than the screen.

What I chose

The request now waits safely behind every screen that can sit in front of it, from the splash to enrolment. It appears once the check is passed. It shipped in iOS 3.6.1 on 28 August.

How it helped my other work

I built this while connecting Verus to Confrmo, since the Verify with Confrmo button in Verus opens Confrmo from another app. It makes Confrmo sign-in dependable for Verus and every other app that uses it.

The principle

Hiding and holding are different things. Keep what must survive somewhere the hiding cannot reach.
