July 2026: Confrmo reaches the App Store
In July 2026 the Confrmo app went live on the App Store. I also brought its iPhone, Android, escrow and ledger work into one place.
July was the month Confrmo reached the public. On 21 July the Confrmo app went live on the App Store, so anyone with an iPhone can now prove who they are with it.
From build to store
Getting an identity app through app review means showing that every permission it asks for has a clear reason, that personal data is handled as described and that the face check is doing what it claims. Preparing Confrmo for that meant clear explanations inside the app, a tidy account deletion route and a privacy story that holds up under scrutiny.
One home for the whole platform
By the end of July Confrmo was more than one app. There was an Android app on its way, an escrow service for holding money until both sides of a deal are satisfied and a public ledger for certificates. On 30 July I brought all of them into one place, so every part of the platform is built, versioned and backed up together.
What came next
Reaching the App Store turned Confrmo from a project into a product people could download. It also gave every later product an identity layer to build on. In August Couri began signing people in with a verified Confrmo identity. Verus followed, private by default with Confrmo verification there when someone wants it.
