Veridium Carbon: the code published in the open
The Veridium Carbon blockchain code went up in a public repository, so anyone can inspect the rules the carbon ledger runs on.
What it needed
People are asked to trust a carbon ledger with real value. They should be able to read the rules for themselves.
What I built
I published the Veridium Carbon code in a public repository, with a mining pool and a block explorer running alongside it so every block and payment can be looked up.
The principle
Publishing the rules is the cheapest trust you can buy.
- open source
- blockchain
- transparency
- carbon credits
