A Verus call that reaches a sleeping phone

What I tried

Calls need to reach a phone that is locked and asleep. The first Android design kept the app running all the time, which carried calls but cost battery.

Why I chose differently

I chose to stop running the app all the time. Calls then needed their own way to wake a sleeping phone.

What I chose

I gave calls their own wake path on Android and tested it as people actually use phones: locked, dozing, with Verus closed. It woke and rang out loud.
