Reading prices the way menus draw them

Some menus draw a single price as separate pieces of text. How WhoozGot reads them as one. Why every price is checked against its source.

What I tried

Some menus draw a single price as more than one piece of text. Read piece by piece, a price can look very different from the one printed.

Why I chose differently

Prices had to be read the way menus actually draw them. Checking whether a list of prices looks plausible is not enough. The only reliable check is against the source.

What I chose

Prices are now read whole, the way the menu prints them. Every price passes a check against its source before a customer sees it.

The principle

Plausible is not verified. The only check that counts is against the source.
